My legacy is deeply important to me. I want to leave behind something my children and grandchildren can be proud of—a blueprint future generations can build on and improve.

This book tells the true story of my life: a young woman navigating an identity crisis while being raised in poverty and unstable environments. It is a story of tragedy, fear, and ultimately triumph. Rather than embrace a victim mindset, I chose strength, resilience, and the determination to rise above my circumstances.

My goal has always been to break the mental and physical chains that have plagued our communities and create a better path for myself and my children. This story is for everyone who has suffered, survived, and fought through The Ghetto Blues. Above all, I hope it inspires you to keep going and never give up on yourself.

If you loved the novel, “The Ghetto Blues” then the sequel “Daddy Issues” examines and analyzes the reasons why Tammy’s life took a turn for the good, the bad, and the not so good at times. Her unforgettable, inspiring, captivating, and heartfelt story doesn’t end, yet.

Tammy takes you into her journey to figure out some of the reasons behind her decisions made in life. She talks about her dad and how much of an impact he had in raising her and the effect of how he was taken from her. The loss of her dad along with her identity crisis kept her in constant turmoil.
